Last night, the Chicago area's "Winter Storm Warning" got downgraded to an advisory, because the National Weather Service didn't think that a storm looking to dump only 2-6 inches of snow was enough to warrant the stronger warning.

The 7.25" inches of snow coating everything that greeted me this morning begs to differ.

I somehow broke off the scraper/leading edge on our nice heavy-duty metal shovel, too. -sob-
