Since the Illinois gubernatorial race can best be summed up as "Tweedledee vs. Tweedledum" (vs. "If you vote for a third party, the terrorist [Democrats/Republicans] will win!"), an area radio talk show host has started up a write-in campaign for Zippy the Squirrel for governor of Illinois.

"First day with a new brain" award

Either kateshort needs to stop buying feminine products made in Canada, or I need to stop reading teh intarwebs.

So I'm standing there, doing my business and minding my own business, and there, right at eye level I see the words Anti-furries barriers.

That can't be right, I thought to myself, so I looked again.

Anti-fruit barriers? Now that's just nonsense, so I looked again. The package was sideways, so I turned my head a bit this time to get a better look.

Ah, that explains it, it's French. Anti-fuites barrières.

Apparently, I can't brain today--I have the dumb.

I guess I could use some anti-leak barriers of my own to keep what's left of my brain in place...

(Re: the subject line: That was an award given out on Fridays in the 6th & 7th grade at my school to the person who screwed up in the most spectacularly funny way each week. Nominated and voted on by the entire class. Oh no, no emotional scars there...)
